President's Three-Year Review Completed

Dr. Dianne F. Harrison

California State University Chancellor Timothy White has sent a letter to faculty, staff, students, and community about the completion of CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison’s three-year review, which was initiated last year. Taking into account feedback from a variety of stakeholders, Chancellor White and the CSU Board of Trustees “are fully confident in the promising future of California State University, Northridge under President Harrison’s leadership.” Read the full letter here.

10,000 Students Graduate at 2015 Commencements

More than 10,658 graduates were eligible to take part in CSUN's 2015 commencement ceremonies that also featured the conferral of honorary doctoral degrees upon former Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and entertainer Robert Townsend over the May 16, 2015 weekend. President Harrison Participates in National Plenary Panel

AAC&U Conference

In January 2015, President Harrison participated in a plenary discussion of higher education leaders from across the nation at the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) centennial symposium in Washington, D.C. The session, entitled “Mobilizing Bold Leadership for America’s Global Future,” focused on how leaders in philanthropy, policy and education can make the quality of students’ college learning a national priority and a shared achievement. CSUN Awarded $21.8 million NIH Grant

CSUN has received a $21.8 million grant — the largest single grant the university has ever received — from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to fund BUILD@CSUN, an ambitious collaborative initiative to change the way traditionally underrepresented minority students are mentored and trained as they set off on a career path as biomedical researchers.  Read more
