myCSUNtablet Honored with Apple Award

Apple Award

At the California State University Board of Trustees meeting on January 27, 2015, Apple named CSUN's myCSUNtablet initiative an Apple Distinguished Program for demonstrating visionary leadership, innovative teaching and learning, ongoing professional learning, and a flexible learning environment. President Dianne Harrison accepted the award on behalf of the university from Apple's National Higher Education Development Manager Anne VanMiddlesworth, who attended the meeting.

CSUN Professor Receives CSU Award

CSUN Professor Nate Thomas

CSUN Cinema and Television Arts Professor Nate Thomas was selected by the Board of Trustees of the California State University as one of five recipients of the Wang Family Excellence Award, one of the 23-campus system's highest honors, in the category of Visual and Performing Arts and Letters. Professor Thomas and the other recipients were honored by the Board on January 27, 2015. Read more

CSUN Researchers Honored

President Dianne F. Harrison saluted approximately 150 faculty and staff researchers at the third annual Principal Investigators Recognition Celebration on Oct. 23, 2014. Encouraging faculty and staff to continue their efforts, President Harrison applauded those principal investigators, the lead researcher on a funded project, who raise millions of dollars for research.  Read more

CSUN Awarded $21.8 million NIH Grant

CSUN has received a $21.8 million grant — the largest single grant the university has ever received — from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to fund BUILD@CSUN, an ambitious collaborative initiative to change the way traditionally underrepresented minority students are mentored and trained as they set off on a career path as biomedical researchers.  Read more

David Nazarian College of Business and Economics

David Nazarian

On March 26, California State University, Northridge’s College of Business and Economics announced that Mr. David Nazarian ’82 has pledged to help lead a $25 million fundraising drive and launched that effort with a $10 million cash gift. In recognition of his gift and pledge of continued support, CSUN has re-named the College of Business and Economics for Mr. Nazarian. Read more
