Last week, the university announced the passing of President James Cleary, who provided distinguished leadership to our institution from 1969 to 1992.
To honor President Cleary’s life and legacy, the university will hold a memorial for him on Tuesday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union. The program will include speakers who will recall President Cleary and his numerous achievements. Members of President Cleary’s family will be in attendance.
The Cleary family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, any gifts honoring the memory of James Cleary and his late wife Mary be made as follows:
