Want to live on campus?

Students who live on campus enjoy many advantages. They have access to special academic support services and are more likely to participate in Cal State Northridge's abundant extracurricular activities, such as sporting events, concerts, guest lectures and clubs.

If you choose on-campus living, you'll be a short walk from your classes, but you can also ride the free shuttle or bike to campus. Studies show that students who live on campus tend to do better academically than those who do not. Best of all, on-campus residents make friends who last a lifetime.

We have three housing options. All are located in secure, gated environments, with wireless Internet, DirecTV, and access to swimming pools, sports courts, and our new Community Center. For first-time freshmen exclusively, we have brand-new, fully furnished suites where you will live two to a bedroom in a community of 32 students. You'll enjoy a spacious living and lounge area, quiet places to study and semi-private bathrooms. The Community Center next door has pool tables, ping pong, movies, games and comfortable seating.

For freshmen and transfer students, we have two-bedroom furnished apartments, most with a kitchen and all with a patio or balcony. Our family housing includes one and two-bedroom, unfurnished apartments, each with a kitchen and patio or balcony.

The Cal State Northridge neighborhood has plenty of student-friendly apartment buildings, many within walking distance of campus.
