What are your women's sports?
Cal State Northridge supports women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, volleyball, and water polo.
Soccer is among the most popular programs. Coach Keith West has led the women to the number two spot in the Big West Conference and was recently named conference coach of the year. Northridge recently hosted its first playoff game in soccer.
Women's track and field is hugely successful. Head coach Avery Anderson, who took over for legendary Coach Don Strametz in 2011, plans on continuing Northridge’s winning tradition, which includes six Big West Women's Outdoor Championships over the past seven years.
Matador golfers have taken three consecutive tournament titles, while softball players have earned all-conference honors. Water polo is a conference championship winner.
