Marketing
This option prepares students for an extremely broad range of business activities that have been estimated to account for approximately 45% of gross national product. Marketing involves such matters as the search for new product opportunities, product development and management, distribution, as well as advertising. Students electing to major in Marketing will have a variety of employment opportunities from which to choose including statistic marketing management, retailing, advertising and communication, industrial marketing, sales management, marketing and consumer research. Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives. Marketing combines advertising, business logistics, research, product management, retailing and selling in an effort to place the product in the hands of the consumer through a purchase.
