“Nutritional Workshops” at the Oasis to Help Students Take Control of Their Health and Wellness

What:
The Oasis Wellness Center at the University Student Union invites all CSUN  students to attend its free “Nutritional Workshops” this semester to promote health and wellness on campus and better inform students about nutrition. 

Who:
Tiffany Shanks, Wellness Center Manager, and Ellen Bauersfeld, RD, are responsible for coordinating this event

When:

Wednesday, Mar. 2 from 11 to 12 p.m. – Eating Healthy on a Budget
Tuesday, Mar. 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. – Weight Loss: What REALLY Works
Thursday, Apr. 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. – Why We Overeat AND What to Do About It

Where:
Oasis Wellness Center in the University Student Union

Why:
To help students manage their health and wellbeing even in the rush and activity of college life. 

Background:

This series of workshops focuses on nutritional eating and is completely free. Students can learn how to be cost efficient when buying healthy food at
“Eating Healthy on a Budget”, learn the safe and effective methods to lose weight at “Weight Loss: What REALLY Works” and learn how to break the bad habit of overeating at “Why We Overeat AND What to do About It”. You can sign up for the workshops online 24 hours prior to your desired date.
