First Time Freshman

New Student Orientations is mandatory for all incoming freshman, it is a full-day event which the University hosts to prepare its students for the academic, social, and cultural context of California State University, Northridge. New Student Orientations offers the opportunity for students to gain knowledge and information about campus resources and opportunities. Students will be informed on how to achieve academic success, meet their peers, both fellow incoming new students and continuing CSUN students, who will offer assistance and suggestions to ensure a smooth transition.

Each day of Orientation is designed for a specific college of the University. A professional staff member from your college will inform students on how to make the most of their first year at CSUN. At Orientation students will meet fellow students within their majors, whom they are very likely to have classes with in the future. Orientation also provides students with the opportunity to meet and connect with the Universities Administration, Faculty, Staff and most importantly its students.

If you have any question please visit us the New Student Orientation website at: http://www.csun.edu/nso. The website contains valuable information that will assist you in your transition to the University and can be used as a reference throughout your career at CSUN.
