CSUN Internal Applicants

At CSUN, our focus on employees for success is based on the philosophy that the University succeeds in supporting student achievement through the commitment and engagement of its employees.  Beyond providing employees with opportunities for engagement, as well as tools and resources to succeed in their position, the University appreciates the value in providing employees the opportunity to advance and challenge themselves in their career growth.

  1. Current employees seeking to apply for a different staff or management opening must submit their application online through the myNorthridge portal. Openings and application for Faculty, Coaching, Counseling, as well as Teaching Associate, Graduate Assistant, and Instructional Student Assistant positions, are coordinated through and posted on Faculty Affairs

  2. To the right, you'll find links to resources should you have additional questions.  If it has been some time since you last applied for a staff or management position, we recommend reading the How to Apply Guide.

  3. When you have successfully submitted your application, you will receive an automatically-generated email confirming our receipt of your application. If you do not receive an email from Human Resources within 24 hours of your submission, contact our office for assistance

  4. Once you have submitted your application online, the Office of Human Resources confirms that you meet the minimum qualifications for the position. Applications which do not meet the minimum qualifications will not be considered. All applicants who meet the minimum qualifications are forwarded to the hiring department for their review.

  5. Applicants who reach the interview stage will be notified by the hiring department. Currently, those who do not reach the interview stage will not be contacted. The application-to-interview process may take several weeks and positions are considered open until filled.

  6. If you would like to know the status of your candidacy, the easiest way to find out is to return to the job postings and see if the job is still posted. If the job is not posted, it has been filled, or the department has removed the job opening. Please note that you may apply once for any given position. To best serve all applicants, please direct all questions regarding your application for employment at California State University, Northridge or its auxiliaries to applications@csun.edu
