2017 Southwest Seminar in Continental Philosophy

The CSUN Department of Philosophy, with the support of the Queer Studies program, is pleased to host the 2017 Southwest Seminar in Continental Philosophy. The event runs from 10am–7pm June 8–10, with presentations from nearly 50 philosophers from the southwestern region and beyond. 

The event will also feature keynote addresses from Dr. Talia Mae Bettcher (Cal State LA) ("The Phenomenology of Em-personation: What Transphobia Shows about Transition”) and Dr. Lisa Guenther (Vanderbilt University) (“Unmaking and Remaking the World in Long-Term Solitary Confinement”).
