Criminology and Justice Studies

Community Resources

The Department of Criminology and Justice Studies (CJS) is part of the college of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and part of the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) community.

CJS has good working relationships with a number of groups and agencies.

CSUN has an office of Government and Community relations that has a great number of excellent resources: Below is from that Department's home page for your convenience. Thank you.

Welcome.  The Office of Government and Community Relations serves as the primary liaison between the university and government agencies and officials at the local, state and federal levels, providing information regarding campus programs and activities and working to meet the needs of our shared constituents. The office also assists the campus community in navigating a wide variety of government laws, regulations, programs and agencies.

This office also serves as your community connection to California State University, Northridge. We work with local business organizations, chambers of commerce, nonprofit groups, homeowner associations and the community-at-large to keep them informed of programs and activities at the university that would be beneficial or of interest to them, to learn what needs must be met, explore avenues to provide university resources to meet those needs, and to be proactive in creating partnerships between these organizations and the university.
