Description: The Teenage Drama Workshop (TADW) is an intense, six-week, summer stock-style conservatory in which teenagers work with directors, designers, and university students on performing, writing, and technical skills. Students, ages 12-18, attend weekday classes in acting, voice, dance, musical theatre, design, improvisation, and playwriting. In addition to classes, students have the opportunity to perform in the production program that presents live theatre to children and young audiences in the San Fernando Valley. The plays are selected for their value to the community as well as the performers. Begun in 1958, TADW is the longest running workshop of its kind in the nation.
