Application Process

Before you apply to CSUN please contact NCOD by emailing Aileen Rolon at aileen.rolon@csun.edu. Include in your email your first and last name and the year and semester you are applying for. This will enable us to maintain contact with you throughout the application process.

IMPORTANT: CSUN has strict admissions standards and procedures. It is essential for you to know:

  1. First time freshman and transfer students must apply by November 30th. The earlier, the better.
  2. If an applicant is not in the Tier 1: Local Guarantee Admission Area, please contact Aileen Rolon at aileen.rolon@csun.edu.
  3. New transfer students should satisfy all the lower division criteria with at least a 2.0 GPA and working towards 60 transferable units or already have 60 transferable units. Please check application deadlines at Admissions and Records.

REQUIRED: The NCOD supplemental application is required for all students. Deaf and hard of hearing applicants must complete and submit all documents requested in order to receive any communication access services.

 

The supplemental application includes the following:

  1. Supplemental Information - All Students
  2. Audiogram for all Deaf & Hard of Hearing - All Students
  3. English/Reading Evaluation - Freshman required and Transfer optional
  4. Two Letters of Recommendation - Freshman only
