President, Dr. Lisalee Egbert '91, '93

Lisalee and her husband, Steve Egbert (a fellow CSUN/NCOD alumni '90) live in Northern California with their beautiful children. Lisalee is on-faculty at a college north of the Greater Sacramento Area where she teaches in the Deaf Studies Department. She enjoys collaborating research with diverse disciples and universities whose focus is on the Deaf Community. Lisalee graduated from CSUN with a BS in Liberal Studies '91 and a MA in Special Education: Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing '93. She obtained her Ph.D. from Texas Woman's University in 2005 focusing on Reading, Bilingual Education and Deaf Culture. Lisalee and the other board member are excited about our sub-chapter: Capital Regional CSUN/NCOD Alumni Chapter in the Northern California area!

Representative, Josh Mendelsohn '92

Josh Mendelsohn and his partner live in Boyds, Maryland near Washington, DC, and they have two young daughters who both attend Maryland School for the Deaf. Josh graduated from CSUN in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Speech Communication, and then received his law degree in 1995 from UCLA. Josh currently works as an Attorney Supervisor for the U.S. Department of Justice, and in his (very little) spare time he maintains Proud-Geek.com, a tech blog, and writes for DeafDC.com.
