Dennis and Carrie DeYoung Scholarship

Applicants for the Dennis and Carrie DeYoung Scholarship should:

  • Have an overall minimum grade point average of 2.8.
  • Have declared a business or economics major at the time of application and during the award year.
  • Must be a full-time student for the Fall 2017 semester.
  • Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Provide a brief personal essay.
  • Provide a resume.
  • Submit all application materials electronically through the Nazarian College Scholarship Moodle site by the posted deadline.

Applicants for the Dean's Scholarship should:

  • Have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.5.
  • Have declared a business or economics major at the time of application and during the award year.
  • Have earned overall between 30 units (minimum) and 110 units (maximum) at the time of application.
  • Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Provide a brief personal essay.
  • Provide a resume.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation.
  • Submit all application materials electronically through the Nazarian College Scholarship Moodle site by the posted deadline.

Applicants for the Helmut Bothe Scholarship should:

1-Have an overall minimum grade point average of 3.0.

2-Have declared a business or economics major at the time of application and during the award year.

3-Must be a student for the Spring 2017 semester.

4-Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).

5-Provide a brief personal essay.
This essay (maximum 300 words) should describe why are you pursuing a career in business and what have you learned at CSUN to achieve success in business?

-work experiences (since graduating from high school)
-life experiences (the major part of your resume should focus on your life experiences, and should describe your involvement in such things as volunteer activities, sports activities, travel experiences,hobbies, etc.)

Mundy Family Scholarship

Applicants for the Mundy Family Scholarship should:

1-Have declared a business or economics major at the time of application and during the award year.

2-Must be a student for the Spring 2017 semester.

3-Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).

4-Provide a brief personal essay.
This essay (maximum 300 words) should relate a true story of a valuable life experience (e.g., an important event in your life, a difficulty you had to face, a hard choice you were required to make, etc.). It should describe what you learned from the experience, and how the experience has helped you to become a better person.
-educational experiences (e.g., high school and college)
-work experiences (since graduating from high school)
-life experiences (the major part of your resume should focus on your life experiences, and should describe your involvement in such things as volunteer activities, sports activities, travel experiences,hobbies, etc.)

5- Provide a resume. This resume (maximum two pages, 12 point font, double spaced) should describe

-educational experiences (e.g., high school and college)

Howard and Ellen Press Family Scholarship

Applicants for the Press Family Scholarship should:

1-Have an overall minimum grade point average of 2.75

2-Have declared a business or economics major at the time of application and during the award year.

3-Attained Junior status

4-Have earned overall between 30 units (minimum) and 110 units (maximum) at the time of application.

5-Provide a transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).

6-The recipients must also demonstrate financial need and the determination to persist and graduate in a timely manner

7-Provide a brief personal essay.

This essay (maximum 300 words) should relate a true story of a valuable life experience (e.g.,an important event in your life, a difficulty you had to face, a hard choice you were required to make, etc.). It should describe what you learned from the experience, and how the experience has helped you to become a better person.

8-Provide a resume. This resume (maximum two pages, 12 point font, double spaced) should describe:a-educational experiences (e.g., high school and college)b-work experiences (since graduating from high school)c-life experiences (the major part of your resume should focus on your life experiences, and should describe your involvement in such things as volunteer activities, sports activities, travel experiences, hobbies,etc.
