The CSUN Guitar Quartet is an ongoing musical experience for the guitar major within the
Music Department for more than 28 years. Many guitar majors have held this position
during their studies and have benefitted from various musical performances both
on and off campus. They have appeared in films, video productions, performed at
other universities, entered international competitions and entertained at music
festivals.
This group was recently hired to perform the guitar quartet music of Laurindo Almeida for a video documentary on the life of this composer/performer sponsored by the Brazilian Government.
