$50,000.00 DOLLAR CHALLENGE GRANT
The Department of Music at the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication has received a challenge grant from the Herb Alpert Foundation for up to $50,000 in funding for our programs in Jazz Studies - The CSU Northridge Jazz Studies Program will receive matching funds for every dollar raised up to $50,000.
The Herb Alpert Foundation’s $50,000 challenge grant is a great opportunity for you to partner with us in supporting our outstanding jazz program. Funds from the grant will be used to continue the generous Ted Greene Memorial Scholarship program and the annual summer Jazz Camp, featuring the Grammy Award-Winning and CSU Northridge alumnus, Gordon Goodwin and his ‘Big Phat Band’ But your gift can go to any aspect of the program you choose, be it the general fund to support Jazz concerts and other expenses; scholarships such as the Chuck Anderson Scholarship, recording projects, guest artist workshops, or any of the other programs you choose to designate.
To make a gift to The CSU Northridge Jazz Studies Program make out your check to CSUN Foundation, indicate in the memo portion of the check that your gift is for "Jazz" or the specific program or scholarship you wish to support and mail it to:
