2017-18 Academic Affairs Research Fellow Announced

February 17, 2017

Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to announce that Dr. Ah-Jeong Kim of the Department of Theatre has been selected as the 2017-18 Academic Affairs Research Fellow in the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication. Her proposal, “A New World Theatre History Textbook” focuses on global interconnectedness and historical relevance to contemporary practice. The selection committee noted that they were impressed with all the projects and their choice was a difficult one.

I would like to thank the members of the review committee – Karen Carpenter (CTVA), Efren Delgadillo (theatre), Lorenz Gamma (music), Pavithra Prasad (communication studies), and Magdy Rizk (art) for their work in reviewing the applications and preparing their recommendations, and Special Assistant to the Dean, Julia Heinen, for coordinating the process. I would also like to extend my thanks to the other applicants for their outstanding ideas.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Kim!

Sincerely,
Dr. Dan Hosken, Interim Dean
