THE ENSEMBLE

TEMPO is a new music ensemble based in Los Angeles comprised of piano, flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano and percussion. The group routinely performs premieres and recently composed works in addition to standard works of the 20th century.

TEMPO celebrates its 7th season in 2015-16. As has become our norm, we are pleased to present works in a variety of styles by living composers, both younger and more established, as well as “historical” works from the past century.

February Program

Our February program will feature contemporary works by the well-known composers, Kaika Saariaho’s Tocar for violin & piano, Spiegel in Spiegel by Arvo Pärt for clarinet and piano; Robert Sierra’s Record’ando una melodià olvidada for clarinet, violin and piano and works by some wonderfully talented young composers; Oliver Caplan, Andrew List and Los Angeles based composer George (Nick) Gianopoulos.

Videos from our October 4, 2015 concert can be found on YouTube.
