Biography

Linda Bowen has been on the Journalism faculty for 18 years, including more than six as department chair. Bowen was a newspaper reporter and editor at several community news outlets in California before joining academia, where she has focused on teaching journalism skills and fostering civic engagement through community and K-12 projects, such as the annual CSUN High School Journalism Day in Fall and the nationally recognized Media Mentors.
