Requirements for a Second Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics
The general university requirements for a second bachelor’s degree are as follows:
The above general university requirements are subject to slight variations depending on a student’s background. For example, if a student is admitted to the program with very little mathematics background, the math department will require more than just the minimum 12 upper division units in residence. In some cases, even lower division math courses will be required. In other cases when the first degree is from another CSU, the university may waive the 9 upper division GE units in residence. Please consult your specific case with a mathematics major advisor.
Students interested in obtaining a second bachelor’s degree in mathematics are encouraged to meet with a mathematics major advisor as soon as possible.
