Elementary Education (EED) Credential Pathways

ACT (Accelerated Collaborative Teaching Program)
ACT is a post-baccalaureate credential program pathway, specially designed as a ONE-year, cohorted program. Students are required to complete 2-semester fieldwork and student teaching experiences, concurrently with credential program coursework, in the ACT program partnership school sites.
Intern
Intern is a post-baccalaureate credential program pathway, specially designed for those holding a full-time employment as public elementary school teachers. Students are required to complete 4-semester student teaching experiences in their own classrooms, concurrently with credential program coursework, while on the job.
ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Program)
ITEP is a blended undergraduate credential program pathway, specially designed for those who wish to pursue both a BA degree and the MS teaching credential concurrently. Students are required to complete 2-semester fieldwork and student teaching experiences, concurrently with credential program coursework, at the CSUN’s ITEP partnership school sites.
TNE (Teachers for a New Era)
TNE is a post-baccalaureate credential program pathway, specially designed as a ONE-year, cohorted program. All coursework, as well as the 2-semester fieldwork and student teaching experiences, is held at two of the TNE-Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) partnership school sites--Langdon Elementary School and Sepulveda Middle School.
Traditional
Traditional is a post-baccalaureate credential program pathway specially designed for those who already have a baccalaureate degree. Traditional student teachers are required to complete 2-semester fieldwork and student teaching experiences in public elementary schools in the CSUN service area.
