Secondary Education (SED): Post-Lesson Conference
The Post-Lesson Conference: Secondary English Language Arts
Thank you for joining us to look at a typical post-lesson conference. This conference took place between a student teacher, Daniel Dewey, and his master teacher, Pam Loew, after the lesson that Daniel presented in the Lesson Observation video. If you haven't seen the student teacher video yet, you may want to watch it before viewing this Post-Lesson Conference. If you have already seen the Lesson Observation Video, you are ready to watch the video of the Post-Lesson Conference.
WHILE YOU WATCH THIS VIDEO: Think about what you might have done similarly or differently if you were conducting this conference. Would you select the same points for discussion? Would you discuss more or fewer points than the master teacher? How would you make the decision about which points to identify and discuss? What could you do to encourage Daniel to reflect on his own performance?
