Additional Information

MGT. 496F-Field Studies in Executive Leadership is a class spearheaded by the corporate leaders on the Advisory Board of the College of Business and Economics (COBAE). In this course, students will receive intensive training in corporate analysis and high level interview techniques by members of the COBAE Advisory Board, and then will go out to interview and interact with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of leading companies in the greater Los Angeles area. It is anticipated that each student team will interview at least three different CEOs. As a result, participating students will gain a hands-on, practical understanding of the challenges of leading a major company through today's turbulent environment.

Enrollment is limited to students with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher, and the target course enrollment is 20-25 students with a cap of 30 students. MGT 496F will be accepted as a substitute elective for Management majors, and honors students can substitute the course for BUS498 to fulfill the mentorship requirement, or for MGT454BH to fulfill the leadership requirement. Instructor consent is required and permission numbers can be obtained from the professor, Dr. Lois M. Shelton at lois.shelton@csun.edu . Please feel free to contact her with any concerns or questions.
