Tutoring and Test Taking Questions

I am having difficulty in my Math 210 and 310 classes. Where can I go for help?

The Math Department offers Math 210/310 tutoring free of charge. Please contact the Math Lab at (818) 677-2721 or stop by the lab located in SH 274.

I need help writing my research or capstone paper. Where can I go for help?

There are two resources available to you: 1) you can visit the Learning Resource Center located in BH 408; or 2) meet with Sandra Jackson, ITEP Academic Support Coordinator. She can be reached by email at sandra.jackson@csun.edu.

I need help preparing for the various tests (Upper Division Writing Proficiency Exam, CBEST, CSET: MS, RICA) for my degree and/or credential. Where can I go for help?

The following offices provide test preparation assistance:

  • Upper Division Writing Proficiency Exam: Please contact the Learning Resource Center in BH 408
  • CBEST: Please contact the Learning Resource Center in BH 408 for free CBEST workshops. The Roland Tseng College of Extended Learning offers CBEST Preparation Workshops for a fee. For additional information, please call (818) 677-2465.
  • CSET: MS: The Liberal Studies Program offers on-going free CSET Preparation Workshops to students who have been admitted to ITEP. Please visit http://www.csun.edu/liberalstudies/news.html for the next available workshops. The Roland Tseng College of Extended Learning offers more extensive CSET Preparation Workshops for a fee.   • RICA: The Roland Tseng College of Extended Learning offers RICA Preparation Workshops for a fee. For additional information, please call (818) 677-2465.
