About Barbara Ann Ward

After studying in Mexico City, Barbara Ann Ward entered San Fernando Valley State college in her 30's. Following her graduation, she worked for sixteen years as a rehabilitation counselor, crediting her Spanish knowledge for helping her better serve many of her clients.

An accomplished aviator, Ms. Ward traveled the world in her retirement, beginning skydiving in 1993 and making her last jump at age 74.

At her passing, Ms. Ward permanently endowed the Barbara Ann Ward (Spanish '67) Scholarship in Spanish Studies to encourage others to follow in her path of adventure and service.
