The Certificate Program in Japanese prepares students for the increasingly globalized world of economic and political interdependence where language and cultural proficiency are vital. The Certificate Program consists of courses on campus and an experiential component such as study abroad, internship, or language practicum. The Program is designed to provide students with education and training in language skills and cultural competency which will give them a competitive edge and enable them to expand career opportunities and will enhance their personal life in the international and intercultural environment. Successful completion of the Certificate Program in Japanese will be noted on the official CSUN transcript, documenting students' academic achievements.

PREREQUISITES: Two courses at the elementary level (JAPN101/C and 102/C) or equivalent
