Student Email
Cal State Northridge launched a new student email system powered by Google to replace the old student Webmail system. Students' new Gmail account provides them with an updated "@my.csun.edu" email address and offers enhanced features such as 6.5 GB of storage. Students are given a CSUN email address when they apply to attend the university and maintain the account until graduation. Students receive a letter from the Admissions and Records department with their CSUN email address and password. You can use this information to access Webmail and the myNorthridge Portal. Faculty Email & Calendaring
Faculty email was recently transferred to Microsoft Exchange. For additional information, visit http://www.csun.edu/it/services/facultyemail.html.
Faculty are given a CSUN email address when they join the university. Your email and password are assigned when you sign in with Human Resources.

Staff/Administrators Email & Calendaring
Microsoft Outlook Exchange is the email and calendar system for staff and administrators. PC users access their email and calendar using Microsoft Outlook and Mac users access email and calendar using Entourage.
PC and Mac users have the option of accessing their Exchange email using the email client interface on their computer or by using the web based version called Outlook Web Access. Outlook Web Access can be used from any on- or off-site computer for your convenience. Exchange users also have the ability to use the Exchange or Entourage email client interface remotely on any university or personal computers that have the CSUN Virtual Private Network (VPN) installed. Information about installing and using the VPN software is available on the CSUN Virtual Private Network page or you may contact the IT Help Center for further assistance.
Both PC and Mac users can access their email and calendar online using Outlook Web Access.
Smartphone Compatibility
The University's email system enables you to send and receive campus email using a smartphone. IT reviews and tests smartphone devices every 6 months to ensure which ones are compatible with CSUN email options.
