Secure USB Flash Drives

Unless absolutely necessary, do not store confidential or sensitive data on a USB Flash drive. USB Flash drives make it easy to transmit files from point A to point B, however given their compact size they are also easy to misplace. If it is necessary to store confidential or sensitive data on a USB Flash drive, protect the data by using a USB Flash drive that requires a password to access the contents.

The Office of Information Security has reviewed the following secure USB Flash drives for use with Windows and Macintosh computers and found them to be straightforward to operate.
