IT for Students

As a student at Cal State Northridge, information technology supports and enhances your path toward graduation. This support is provided through a range of applications and IT services to assist you.

Virtual Software Library

All CSUN students can now access select software from any computer with an Internet connection. Available software includes: Mathematica, SPSS, ArcMap, ArcReader, LibreOffice, Open SSH, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

To access the software, visit the VSL Login page and sign in with your CSUN user ID and password. You will be prompted to install the Citrix software. For more information, visit the VSL page.

Student Portal Enhancements

You can download your class schedules to external calendars. This allows you to view your schedule from Google without having to log in to the myNorthridge portal.

For setup instructions, select the Instructions on Downloading link in the My Current Classes pagelet when you are logged in to the portal. If you need help, or have any questions, contact the IT Help Center

Student Online Readiness Survey

Students are invited to participate in a New Online Readiness Survey. This survey will help you determine if you are ready for online courses prior to registration. We also encourage you to review the New Online Course Definitions. If you have any questions, contact the IT Help Center.
