Student Moodle Help - How do I submit/review a Turnitin assignment in Moodle?

 To submit a Turnitin assignment:

  1. From the course homepage, locate the Turnitin assignment and select the assignment name.
  2. On the assignment introduction page, make note of any instructions and/or dates your teacher has added.
    1. Start Date: Date and time students may begin to submit their assignment.
    2. Due Date: Date and time submissions are due.
    3. Post Date: If enabled by your teacher, the date and time students may review their Originality Report and/or Grademark comments left by the teacher.
    4. Marks: Point value assignment is worth in course.
  3. Select the My Submissions tab.
  4. In the Submission Type drop-down menu, select how you will submit your assignment.
    1. File Upload: Upload a digital file (ex: Microsoft Word document, PDF, Text file, etc.)
    2. Text Submission: Type or copy/paste text from another location.
  5. Follow on-screen prompts to upload/type your submission, title your submission and accept copyright agreement.
  6. Select the Submit button.

To review a Turnitin assignment (including Originality Report and Grademark comments):

  1. From the course homepage, locate the Turnitin assignment and select the assignment name.
  2. On the assignment introduction page, make note of any instructions and/or dates your teacher has added. Pay special attention to the Post date column. Originality Report and Grademark comments cannot be seen until the Post date has been reached. Note: Not all instructors utilize the Originality Report and Grademark comment features. Contact your instructor directly to see if these will be used for your assignment.
  3. Select the My Submissions tab.
  4. To open your submission, select the title of your submission, the Similarity index percentage or the pencil icon next to the grade received. A new pop-up window will open.
  5. In the pop-up window, select the Originality, Grademark or Peermark buttons in upper left corner to switch between features.
