The mic plugs into the bodypack, which can be put in a pocket or worn on a belt. The receiver is mounted in the podium or wherever the other media equipment is installed. For convenience, users may request a handheld mic.
Miscellaneous Details
Equipment
While this is a standard equipment list, there may be changes made from time to time as equipment manufacturers change models. For updates, please contact Kevin Glasson.
Phone
To utilize the UVN service from the Media Library, the room will need a phone which allows you to control the media during playback. If possible, the phone should be near the BB.
Vendor Contact Information
CCS Presentation Systems is the current vendor for everything on the equipment list. The representative for CSUN is Henry Barnston and he can be reached by phone at (323)954-7754 ext. 213, or by email at Barnston@ccsprojects.com.
Wiring Issues
Each Black Box (BB) usually has four data connections: one is for the resident PC in the BB; one is for the laptop connection; one is for the VOIP phone; and one is dedicated to the Extron Controller. The Extron Controller has to be on the campus network to allow remote communication, diagnostics, and control. Even if there is no resident PC or laptop connection, the BB will have four data lines for future use.
