Email & Calendaring

Staff Email and Calendar

Microsoft Exchange is now the email system for campus staff and administrators. PC users are using Microsoft Outlook for email and calendaring and Mac users are using Entourage desktop client. Both PC and Mac users can access their email and calendars from the web using Outlook Web Access. Please note that this implementation does not impact faculty and student usage of Webmail.

Webmail

Webmail is the University’s web-based email system that can be accessed from any on or off–site location.Webmail is available to all faculty, students, staff, and alumni who have a user ID and password.

Webmail Viewing Options

In addition to the standard Webmail interface, users frequently connect to campus email using Outlook, Netscape, or other compatible programs.  Many users prefer this type of interface because it provides a "look and feel" that is similar to other web based email systems. The University Help Desk can assist you with installing compatible interfaces to access Webmail.

Calendaring

Faculty and staff also have access to Meeting Maker which is the calendaring system utilized by many members of the campus community. This system allows you to maintain your calendar, schedule appointments, send meeting invitations to other Meeting Maker users, and share your calendar with users of your choice.  Meeting Maker can be accessed on–line as a web-based product, or it may be accessed on your desktop if the software has been installed on your machine.

If you would like to download the Meeting Maker software, visit the Software Download Page and perform the following steps:

  • Sign–in using your user ID and password.
  • Find Meeting Maker 8.5 on the left side of the table. You will need to select from the Windows or Mac version.
  • Click on the "Download" button to install the software on your computer.
  • Follow the installation prompts to complete the installation process.
