Office 2010

Office 2010 is the most recent version of the Microsoft Office suite for Windows. It is available for personal purchase and use at the Matador Bookstore. To obtain Office 2010 for a university-owned computer, contact your local technical support staff. A 64-bit version of Office 2010 is also available; however, unless specific features of the 64-bit version are needed, the 32-bit version should be used to avoid compatibility problems with Office plug-ins and other software which interfaces with Office.

Word 2010 and Acrobat 9 PDFMaker: Known Issue Please note that there is a known issue between Word 2010 and Acrobat 9's PDFMaker. This issue impacts users who convert Word documents to PDF files. For more information, visit the Acrobat Support website, or the Microsoft Office forum.

Office 2007

IT offers in-person training and support for Office 2007. For a list of online resources, visit the IT Training Guides page and go to the Microsoft section. If you are using Microsoft Office 2003, you can use the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack to open and work with extension files (.docx & .xlsx) created in Office 2007.

Mac

Office 2011

Office 2011 is the most recent version of the Microsoft Office suite for the Mac. It is available for personal purchase and use at the Matador Bookstore. To obtain Office 2011 for a university-owned computer, contact your local technical support staff.

This new version implements a ribbon-type interface and replaces Entourage with Outlook for the Mac. To learn more about the new features and functionality, visit Mactopia: Office 2011 Features.

Office 2008
