Mac "Flashback Trojan"

A malware known as “Flashback Trojan” has been identified as having infected more than 600,000 Mac computer worldwide. This malware steals personal information after users unknowingly install the malicious software.

IT Recommendation

  • Apple has released a patch to address the vulnerability exploited by this malware. Run Apple Software Update to apply Mac OS patches after appropriate testing.

  • Install an Anti-Virus solution. If one is installed, ensure that it is up-to-date.
