Web Communications Committee (WCC)
Charge/Mission:
This committee establishes strategy, policy, and guidelines for the University’s presence on the University website and the University role-based portal pages. The committee is responsible for the web information architecture, recommending taxonomy and publishing standards, and providing guidelines and standards for web content management. The committee provides advice, guidance, and support to the Manager of University Web Communications. The committee works closely with the Technology Infrastructure and Services Committee regarding technical issues related to the web, including web content management technology, web application standards, digital content management, and web capacity planning.
The committee reports to the Vice President for University Advancement. The chair, under the direction of the Vice President for University Advancement, will consult when appropriate with the Vice President of Information Technology.
