Are you planning to travel outside the U.S. this Winter?
If you are currently not planning to travel, we recommend you attend this event and obtain a travel signature in case your plans change.
IESC will be hosting two final "Travel Signature Events"
Dates:
Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 9am – 12pm
Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 1pm – 4pm
(You do not need to confirm your attendance. Simply, come to IESC with the required documents during the date and time indicated above)
Remember!!! A travel signature is VALID FOR ONE YEAR. If you already have one, please make sure it is valid by the time of your re-entry to the U.S.
To attend this one-day event, please bring the following documents with you to the IESC office:
- Travel signature Request (filled out and signed)
- Original I-20 Form (most recent)
- Update your current U.S. address via CSUN portal.
- Copy of current passport
- Copy of current F-1 Visa
- If you have a Dependent I-20 (F2) please make sure to bring original (F2) I-20 Form, copies of their most current passport and F-2 visa
For OPT students: if you are currently on approved OPT and have plan to travel during this Winter break, in addition to the above documents, you will also need to bring the following:
- Update your current employment information
- Bring a copy of your current Employment Authorization (EAD) card (front and back)
- Bring a copy of I-797 Notice of Action form
*** Please note that if you are missing any of the documents indicated above, we will not sign your I-20 form and you will need to submit a Travel Signature request form along with your original I-20 to the IESC office to be processed. In this case please note, processing time is 7 – 10 business days!
