Student Fellows Complete Their Summer Seminar

HSI Pathways/Mellon Student Fellows lived on campus for six weeks this summer to attend an immersive Seminar that prepared them for application to and success in graduate school.  Elizabeth Calzada sums it up: “Over six weeks I not only cultivated knowledge but I started to believe in my future as a scholar.”  Brian Mercado was grateful for the expertise of so many campus partners who participated in the Seminar: “Being able to hear the stories and paths taken by our various presenters, guest speakers, and lunch guests made the task ahead of us seem more manageable, more human.” You can read more about the Student Fellows’ experiences during the Summer Seminar on our blog.
