April 12, 2013

The College of Humanities congratulates Ana Sánchez-Muñoz on receiving an Outstanding Faculty Award from the Omega chapter of Phi Beta Delta, an academic
honor society dedicated to promoting international and interdisciplinary education. Dr. Sánchez-Muñoz is an associate professor in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies, where she teaches linguistics and language courses. Having studied extensively in the United Kingdom and Spain, Sánchez-Muñoz regularly assists Phi Beta Delta members who are interested in study abroad by sharing her own experiences through formal presentations and informal discussions.

CSUN's Omega chapter of Phi Beta Delta was founded on campus in 1989 to recognize achievements among international scholars, help develop institutional international programming, and facilitate networking opportunities for faculty, staff, and students involved in international studies across disciplines. The organization presents just one Outstanding Faculty Award annually.
