Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures II

Apply

Interested in applying for our ONLINE or IN-PERSON hybrid Spanish Graduate program?

The application deadline to start in the Fall semester is July 1st,

and for the Spring semester, apply by November 1st.

Starting in fall 2024, our Spanish graduate program is offered in a new hybrid modality. This means that you can choose to attend all classes and complete all the Spanish graduate program requirements online or in-person (or both, following the hyflex modality). You do not need to specify your preference at the time of the application, but we encourage you to contact the graduate program Director to discuss your unique situation and schedule preferences.

WHY Spanish Graduate program at CSUN?

Spanish M.A. at CSUN offers you the flexibility of online or in-person program. You can choose from a wide variety of courses in Spanish literature, culture, linguistics, and translation delivered in online, hybrid, hyflex, and in-person formats. Classes are mostly offered in the afternoon and in the evening. If you do not have a B.A. in Spanish, you are eligible to apply, but may have some prerequisites to fulfill during your first semester (determined individually based on your previous coursework). The program requires 3.0 GPA (either cumulative or the last 60 units). Have questions about the application process? Contact the Graduate Program Coordinator.

Before Applying

If you would like to discuss our program and your participation in it, you can set up an appointment with the Graduate Program Coordinator. We suggest you bring or email a copy of your transcripts of all post-secondary courses, so that we can advise you better (unofficial transcripts are fine).
