Adrian Perez-Boluda Bio

Adrián Pérez Boluda grew up speaking Catalan and Spanish in the city of Sant Vicent del Raspeig, in the Spanish province of Alicante. He received his B.A. in history and geography with a minor in Catalan language and culture at the University of Alicante.  In 1999, a chance decision led him to an English course in the United States, and a year later, he was awarded with a fellowship and enrolled in a master's program in Spanish at the University of Nevada, Reno.  He later received a fellowship to complete his doctorate in Spanish Literature at the University of California, Davis, where he focused on Renaissance and Baroque Spanish poetry.  Before heading for better food and better weather that were fringe benefits of accepting the position of assistant professor at CSUN, he worked as an assistant visiting professor at Ohio´s Kenyon College.  Now, he enjoys not only the weather, but the students and colleagues who form a very important part of his life.
