Lewis King, PhD

He is a current Senior Scholar for the Tom & Ethel Bradley Foundation. In 2009, Dr. King designed and implemented the first Culturally Focused Finance Literacy program for use with over 7,000 Head Start teachers and parents in San Bernardino. He was elected as President of the Greater Crenshaw Education Partnership (GCEP) in 2011. He was a professor of Human Development at UCLA and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science during 1984 and 2007. 

He is an active community member who has collaborated with national and local programs in academic research and community improvement. He has held many leadership roles and has an endless list of accomplishments.

Liberal Studies at CSUN is excited to have him as a visiting scholar and our entire campus will benefit from his extensive knowledge. Dr. King is currently working on ​a social model for what he calls "intentional civility."
