Author Maggie Anton discusses the research behind her newly published historical novel, Enchantress. In this book, Anton has woven together fantastic tales of demons and the Evil Eye, magical incantations, Talmudic lore, ancient Jewish magic, and a timeless love story set in fourth-century Babylonia. 

Enchantress is the sequel to Rav Hisda's Daughter: A Novel of Love, The Talmud and Sorcery, which was selected for 2012 National Jewish Book Award in Fiction and Library Journal's choice for Best 2012 Historical Fiction.
