This is an advance screening of a new feature film by Academy Award winning director Atom Egoyan with an all-star cast (including Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, Bruno Ganz, and others).   The film tells the story of Zev, an elderly nursing-home resident suffering from dementia, who is guided by a fellow Auschwitz survivor to execute the man who destroyed their families seven decades ago.  Zev embarks on a cross-continental road-trip to discover and execute the man who has been living in comfort under an assumed identity.  This thrilling tale of suspense is infused with black humor and raises important moral questions.

134 minutes, followed by Q & A with CSUN Jewish Studies faculty. .

Free.  Space limited - RSVP required.  Please call (818) 677-4724 or email jewish.studies@csun.edu to reserve a seat (maximum 2 seats per request – names for each seat are required).
