Cantor Kenneth Cohen of Temple Ahavat Shalom will give an overview of the history and diversity of Jewish music and the cultures that influenced its development.  He will also speak about new trends in Jewish music today.  Cantor Cohen will sing and play the guitar as he gives his presentation.

 
Cantor Cohen earned his B.A. in History  and  an M.A. in Ethnomusicology. He was ordained as Cantor from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in Manhattan and has had an extensive career in Jewish music.
