Moses PavaThe Fourth Annual Maurice Amado Foundation Lecture in Jewish Ethics

How can businesses participate in the redemption of the world? In this lecture, Professor Moses Pava applies rabbinic conceptions of everyday redemption to contemporary business examples to show that redemption doesn’t happen only with divine intervention. Rather, redemption is ongoing, everyday activity that creates a counterculture of hope.

Moses Pava is the Dean and the Alvin Einbender Professor of Business Ethics and Professor of Accounting at the Sy Syms School of Business of Yeshiva University, where he has taught since 1988. Professor Pava’s research interests include business ethics, financial accounting, corporate social responsibility, and the interface between religion and business. His work in these areas is frequently cited in both academic and professional literature.
