Mr. Guevara is a young journalist who has played an important role in the creation of the Honduran community radio network that allows disenfranchised communities to have access to the creation of their own radio stations, and production, dissemination and promotion of their own information. His lecture will focus on the importance of community radio and public speaking in the construction of better communities.

The Role of Community Radios in Honduras event will share the experience of young Hondurans in the construction a media network that presents an alternative view and approach of the Honduran reality. As this Central American country has been in the State Department list of the most dangerous places on earth in the past five years, it is imperative that our students and community also learn from the radio station network experience to broaden their understanding of the current situation that impacts, mostly, youth lives.
