No More Deaths is a humanitarian organization dedicated to stepping up efforts to stop the deaths of migrants in the desert and to achieving comprehensive immigration reform. Gene Lefebvre is a Presbyterian minister who has been involved in several social justice issues: civil rights, peace, LGBT, immigration, and ecology. He ha served as president of the Presbyterian Interracial Council; he is a charter member of No Longer Silent Clergy Group (advocating inclusiveness in religious groups); he is a leader of seminars on environmental justice, as well as an active member of the Sanctuary Movement in Arizona. Mr. Lefebvre received the Freedom From Fear Award, an award given to fifteen people in the U.S. for their justice work. He is now actively involved in the New Sanctuary Movement and continues his important work with No More Deaths.
