5-Year Graduation Plan for Standard Majors

Note: Students should schedule an appointment with EOP each semester for GE advisement. Students may double-count all applicable major courses toward General Education requirements. Students should complete the Writing Proficiency Exam between 56-90 units. All students must complete a minimum of 40 upper division units and a total of 120 units to graduate.

First Year

Fall Semester

  • Lower division GE: Section A-1 Freshman Composition (3 units, select from AAS 155/ CHS 155/ENGL 155/ or PAS 155)

  • Title V (Suggested CHS 245 History of the Americas)

Spring Semester

  • Lower Division CAS Elective Requirement (Suggested: CHS 202 Race, Racism, & Critical Thinking for GE Section A-3 Critical Thinking Double-Count)
