While the meet and confer process with some union partners is still in progress, we encourage employees to voluntarily complete the certification as soon as possible to allow you to opt out of the required free weekly COVID-19 testing.

You may now provide this self-certification or request an exemption through the myNorthridge Portal. Once logged into the portal, under the Policies and Procedures pagelet of the Faculty or Staff tab, select the EE Vaccine Self-Certification link and complete the form accordingly. This process is only for state-side CSUN employees. Auxiliary employees should check with their respective HR departments for details.

Faculty, staff and student employees working on campus, who do not self-certify that they have been fully vaccinated by the fall semester or who have been provided a medical or religious exemption, will be required to participate in free weekly COVID-19 testing.

**For CSUEU and SUPA only: To opt out of weekly COVID-19 mandated testing, per testing agreements with your respective unions, CSUEU and SUPA employees will need to submit proof of vaccination by uploading their vaccination card through the same EE Vaccine Self-Certification portal link as noted above. If you are unable to locate your vaccination card, please visit LA County Department of Public Health.

CSUN Telecommute Program & Agreement Form Update

California State University, Northridge supports Telecommuting when the campus determines that telecommuting is operationally feasible and is in its best interest. Such instances for telecommuting work arrangements may be considered when there are opportunities for improved operational performance, or as part of a disaster recovery or emergency plan.

Telecommuting is only feasible for those job duties that can be performed away from campus. In that regard, most telecommuting agreements are voluntary and can be implemented only in instances in which a Department’s Appropriate Administrator has determined that the nature of the job duties of a particular position can be performed successfully outside the traditional office setting without an undue impact on the University’s operations and educational mission.

Please note that due to the status of meet and confer discussions, the following conditions apply to availability of the program:

  • The Telecommute Program is available for CSUEU (Units 2, 5, 7, 9), UAPD (Unit 1), MPP, and Confidential employees
  • The Telecommute Program is pending for APC (Unit 4) employees

For more information and to access the Telecommute Agreement form, visit here.
